Gasheader Pre race - Cant magic up the lack of training in last 6 weeks, trying to catch up these last two weeks- fear this could be my slowest time for the course.---- Well I was right this race has now provided me with a all time low in race times , it was hot and I felt awfull from the off, never managed anything but a crawl on each hill and slower than usual on downs. Jenson Struggled with watch at start - I am a divvy. By 3k I thought I might not make it all the way around. By 6k I was quite enjoying myself. Walked a little up the second last hill but wouldn't have gone any quicker running it and then like everyone else, I imagine, nearly punched someone when the finish seemed to go on forever. Ha ha. Not too displeased with time as really not done any prep for this (why change the habit of a life time?!). Hot day for October, little flies everywhere but great race and luvvin' the beer festival and half price sarnies afterwards! esk vally fell club 43:20 46:26 50:16 59.45
