Entrants (28) Club PB SB Pred Time WAVA
april_runner This was my first 15m race, and also the first time I have completed that distance. I haven't run a long run of more than 10m since the St. Neots Half Marathon two months ago, so I think I did quite well. I did find it very hard work (doing 2 laps of 3 hills), but then my training hadn't been geared up for this race - so I wasn't ever going to produce an optimal performance. I am in the early stages of marathon training and saw this race as a good chance to run 15m with company. It's also a PB because I've never done the distance before :) :) :) Cambridge & Coleridge AC 1:44:51 2:09:21 2:10:00 2:09:21 57.60
BenDy Hope to beat last years Benfleet time. This is all road so should be in with a chance. Despite suffering with a cold this week & it being a bit windy I PB'd by over 9 mins!!! Didn't really have a race plan, started out doing 8 min miles & just kept it going, tried to pick up the pace towards the end to get under 2 hours but couldn't. CD PB for me today by some 20 minutes. Great race with some challenging hills. Very supportive marhals. Excellent long sleeved T shirt. Nice touches like Jelly babie at the water stations. Scunthorpe & District AC 2:21:00 2:21:00 2:21:00 53.24
Craggy Great race, loads of marshalls - all really supportive.
Unfortunately the wind scuppered any chance of a PB, but a good workout anyway. Skegness & District Running Club 1:27:44 1:30:54 1:30:54 74.08

frizzle Would like to beat my time of 2.17 from last year (Did 2.15 at March last year but that was flat and this has 6 hills!!!)
First few miles felt tough (Haven't trained enough for this due to illness) Have upped my weekly mileage but not done more than 10 since November. Also haven't run 15 since before London Marathon last year!!!
I eased into it after first few miles. Had a couple of really short walks and calves felt sore but it was more manageable than I thought i.e. I didn't die half way round!!!! Yaxley Runners and Joggers 2:14:29 2:25:03 2:15:00 2:25:03 51.37

Gaubfar My first 15 miler so will see how it goes, hopefully will do under 2.10 but will put 2.15 to be on safe side

Really good run, though the hills were a killer second time round, but good marathon training...

Greenman All in all an enjoyable run although it felt like hard work, only 20secs down on my PB for 15M and a minute faster than last year's time. Well organised and marshalled as usual. Grantham Running club 1:38:22 1:38:42 1:38:42 70.51
KinkyS Great fun! A lovely course with lovely marshals and support. Was aiming for steady LSR pace (8:30ish) but I felt really really good, and even though I went slightly faster than predicted it was all very easy and relaxed. I plodded gently up the hills, cruised easily down the hills and even stopped to walk for a few strides at every water station - this racing at training pace is great, there is no pressure and I enjoyed every single minute. I'm well pleased that 8:12min/mile felt so easy on a relatively challenging course with a stiff breeze, and my knee was fine all the way. It's been a while since I've enjoyed a run so much :-) Todmorden Harriers & AC, The Green Runners 1:55:37 2:02:56 2:02:56 60.61

Nightjar Decided to aim at a 7:30 pace but quickly realised this wasn't going to happen so I settled down to just getting on with the running. The miles seemed to rack up surprisingly quickly and I had a good 'sprint' with the wind behind me going down the hill at the 5-6 mark. Finished the first lap feeling pretty good. Got a great cheer from OH and a lady in blue who it transpires lives just down the road from us. Rued the fact that I left the jelly babies behind at around 10 miles but had to push through. Couldn't repeat the 'sprint' on the second lap and had real trouble keeping the legs going on the final hill. Average pace 7:41, I'm pleased with that. :-) Bedford Harriers AC, LDWA 1:54:51 1:54:51 1:50:00 1:54:51 61.59

Ricardo Great race! Managed the hills ok, but getting the wind behind me on the downhill stretches felt really good. After recent problems with my knee everything felt ok :S Hurrah! Unaffiliated 1:47:25 1:54:41 2:15:00 1:54:41 58.92
SPKoF First ever 15. Tough course and the wind didnt help but this FLM training is paying off.

I decided, in hope rather than realism, to try and hold my current half PB pace for 13 miles then hold on for the last 2.

Passed 13.1 in a new PB then carried on without too much trouble (OK, the hill at mile 14 hurt!) so very happy with the time.

Cant wait for a good weather flat half as that PB is there for the breaking! Long Eaton Running Club 1:47:40 1:47:40 1:47:40 62.28

tramps Bad day at the office. Ran a perfect first half, but absolutely no energy in the second half. It was tough to drag my heavy legs over the last couple of miles Saffron Striders RC 1:55:48 2:00:02 1:52:30 2:00:02 56.82

Vitalstatistix Ran with a group of 4 for the first lap, but they dropped me when Derek Lines decided to do an interval uphill between 8 and 9 miles...still quite pleased with the run as it was part of marathon training for April... Bedford Harriers AC 1:28:21 1:29:35 1:30:00 1:30:33 75.76
