In September2006 had a 40 inch + waist couldn't fit into a XXXL t-shirt. I was a self confessed couch potato!
In 12 months changed my life!!!, I lost 5 stone 2lbs and now fit into a 30 inch waist and small / medium shirt. I found running & cycling.
I have completed the so many events now biggest ones 3 marathons Paris, Nottingham and Rome where I finally broke the 4 hour barrier in March 2009.
Biggest achievement so far in June 2009 where is finished the Ironman 70.3 Triathlon (1.2 mile open water swim, 56 mile bike ride, and 13.1 mile run in 7 hours 47 minutes. Not a world record but a fantastic personal achievement considering where I have come from.
I am a member of Northbrook AC & Coventry Triathletes. I still have London Triathlon, 34th International Snowdon Run, London Triathlon, Birmingham Half and Abingdon Marathon still to complete in 2009.
Considering an Ironman in 2010/2011. This is a big (massive) ask, but that is what life is about challenging yourself to the limit.
Even though I lost all that weight I still have a weakness for ice cream, good job the running and triathlon training helps me to keep the weight off
