I rediscovered the joys of running soon after my retirement from full-time work in the NHS. I live in the lovely county of Northamptonshire and there are plenty of lovely running routes within a short drive of home. There is Titchmarsh Nature Reserve and Pitsford Water for off-road running, and lots of little villages for safe road runnning. I am currently in training for the Great north Run, where I will be raising funds for Alzheimer's Research UK.
