Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

About Me

April 2018: Relocated to Cambridge, UK! Just set my preferred unit of length to miles insted of kilometers and expect this to be the most difficult adjustment. Fully intend to make a running comeback this year and I’m confident Fetch and fellow fetchies will support me. Otherwise, I’m still a prior protein chemist turned Regulatory Operations Manager. Family is wife Maria and horse Markiz. In my spare time I run and read. My jogger career started in my early teens and it has been a bumpy ride with a lot of longer and shorter periods of running and not. In the late 90s I started running more regularly and no longer skipped over the coldest months of the year. With the exception of two longer periods of injuries I’ve kept at it.

I joined a running site in Sweden in 2008 and logged my training and took part of discussions there. Unfortunately, the climate changed (along with nothing else, the site have seen almost no development, at least not in the sections I would like) and I have been on the lookout for years for a new place. Fetch was the one where I thought it would be worthwhile to do the tedious import of the log and start learning from the beginning.
It may come of less than a surprise that I really feel the need for some motivation now, the season that started really well have proven very tough, with lots of small ailments and fatigue.
