About Me

I've been running regularly for about 4 years, before that did occasional bits of running with a healthy mix of cycling, mtb, rock climbing and anything else outdoors thrown in. I mainly do hill races around Scotland but also find the draw of time-based targets in road racing strong.... I have done 2 marathons, first in 2012 I did Paris, averaging about 30 miles a week for 12 weeks beforehand (my first "training" programme) and clocking just under 2:57 on the day. Then in 2013 I did Loch Ness and upped the mileage to 40 to 60 per week for 12 weeks or so and clocked 2:43:40. Hoping to go at least 3 mins 41s better than that at VLM 2015! It would be nice to break a 10k and HM PB along the way in training. Planning to ramp up through December and get consistent 50m weeks in all the way to VLM, with a good few over 60 m too.

Oh, and I have two kids (aged 1 and 3) and a dog (main running partner).
