About Me

Hey everyone! My names Andy McCall I've been running for a few years now, don't know exactly how long ive been with Glenpark Harriers but I ran my first ever race in 1997, the great scottish run in glasgow and since then everytime I got dragged along to races to watch my dad I eventually started to take part in fun runs (just to kill time to wait on his slow ass lol) but I started winning some and got that winning feeling and really started to enjoy running so I decided to follow in my dads footsteps and join the harriers along with the rest of my family soon to follow.

I've really taken to the hill running its just so enjoyable and the atmosphere at the races is usualy really great. I started hill running when a few of the juniors from the club traveled to Peebles for the Scottish junior hill running champs a while ago now and we came back with a few medals... not to mention me taking gold and my 2 cousins getting silver also :D since then i've ran a fair amount of hill races and will continue to run them. My best achievement to date so far has to be being selected to represent Scotland at the World Hill Running Champs in Turkey where I didnt really do as good as I should have, but hey we all have bad races it just happens to me at the biggest stage I can get to!
