About Me

Although I have only been distance running since 2005 I used to be quite a serious sprinter (200m) in my youth but gave up on reaching drinking age. After joining a gym 20 years later decided to give running a go again. Started training with a mate for Great North Run 2005 which I completed in 2:24. Training for GNR05 gave me the running bug back and I haven't looked back since. Joined Harrogate Harriers in Oct 2005 and have since gone on to get my half PB down to to 1:31 (can I knock an hour of my original time - unfortunately I think age may be against me on that one!)
