Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

About Me

I started running in 2006. My first two 10k's I was last but enjoyed the applause. In September 2007 I did the Berlin marathon and said never again to a marathon. 2008 my partner suddenly passed away which put a different slant to this running...I was on my own. He had never been able to get into London so I tried for him. In 2012 and 2013 I managed to get in. Unfortunately 2012 I was not well during the race and walked 19 miles but finished. I was so lucky to get in again 2013 and finished in just over 5 hours.

I have an amazing running buddy and Sunday mornings early we do 6 or so miles and chat all the way. I did the great south last year and said never again......so entered again. :-)
