About Me
I took up running in January 2011 in memory of my Dad who died of cancer sadly in Nov 2010. I have NEVER enjoyed running but wanted to challenge myself and try and overcome something that I had always given up on in the past. I ran the Lincoln 10k in April 2011 and to my delight I didn't stop and ran the entire way. It was an emotional day but I proved to myself that I could in fact do it. Now when I run I think of Dad and it gets me through. After I ran the 10k (in approx 1.12) I started to train for the Peterborough Half but got seriously injured playing netball would you believe! It has been a long road to recovery but I have recently started again. I would love to be faster but at present I am just concentrating on putting one foot in front of the other. I'm running again in June in the Hull 10k and as ever will be thinking of Dad.

Any tips or pointers to someone who really is a novice would be greatly appreciated! x
