Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I am fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support in the Edinburgh Marathon 2012

I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer a few years ago now and at least once a year I try and raise money forMacmillan so as they can carry out the good work that they do. The Macmillan nurse helped not only my dad but the rest of the family at a time of great distress.

About Me

Hi
I started running in April 2009 when a work colleague thought it would be a good idea for us to do the Hairy Haggis Team Relay. Although I was a regular gym goer and reasonably fit i had never ran anywhere before so with only a month to train i started running on the treadmill in the gym and was confident I could complete the 8 mile leg which I did (not very fast ) but did it all the same and was on such a high that I said I wanted to do the full marathon the following year which I did and have been running ever since. Joined a lovely friendly club at the end of last year which has helped me overcome hills which I used to hate and now I actually quite like them.

Current Status

In training for my 5th Marathon but it will be my 1st London Marathon. So excited and looking forward to it
