Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I am fundraising for Colchester Hospitals Charity Stroke Unit

My husband Albi suffered a stroke on the 22nd August 2013 and
was admitted to the Colchester General Hospital Stroke Unit. The care he received in hospital was faultless and that care has continued with daily home visits consisting of both physical and speech therapy.

About Me

Firstly...I am not an Admin at Fetch...I got the nickname from the other members of my local gym/bootcamp as I was the "organised" one.

I started running in March 2011 just to "try it out".
My local gym started a little club, and thought I'd be interested....not sure what gave them that idea...I said I wasn't a runner!
Anyway I went along one evening and been hooked ever since.

My first "race" was May 1st, Post Office 5k in Clacton and I made my goal of finishing in under 30 minutes with a time of 29.23

I have since completed several distances 10K, finishing 3rd in my age group, 7 mile, a couple 10 mile races and 6 Half Marathons.

In between all the running I also qualified as a Personal Trainer, Spin Instructor, Circuit Trainer and Studio Resistance (BodyPump) Instructor.....yep a little addicted to this "healthy lifestyle".
I've come a long way from the 40 year old 15 stone plus couch potato from 10 years ago!

2012 UPDATE:
Completed my first marathon at the Inaugural Kent Roadrunner and made my goal of finishing in under 5 hours :)

End of June I joined Harwich Runners, so now hoping with regular scheduled and varied training my times and stamina will improve...I also entered another 10 marathons AND an Ultra!

2013 UPDATE: I got a bit carried away with the marathons and can't stop entering them!
