Started my latest "running career" as a V50 in spring 2006. After spending the 70's loafing as a student, watching Stan the Man at Loftus Road and joining "the unacceptable face of capitalism", I accidentally got caught up in the "jogging boom". I ran seriously in the mid '80s with PB's of 1:18 for the half and 57:30 for 10 miles whilst a member of Woodford Green AC. After seriously lapsing until V40, I ran 2 Londons in 1998 and 2000 - at around 3:48 each time. More lapses until 2006, when at the age of 50 I decided to get hold of myself (I'm the only one who wants to these days). Now I've set and improved my "age group" PB's for 10k and Half and I ran 1267 miles in 2006. I have to get serious about my marathoning in 2007. Blogging on http://coffeeman-running.blogspot.com. I can't seem to quite shrug this running addiction off - therapy may be next. And my 2 kids, now in their 20's, are newbie runners too - gotta be a genetic defect.
