Suffered a horrible foot injury in December 2006 and haven't been able to run since. I'm trying some low-impact training by using my bike to commute to work. I live in Deal and work in Dover in South East Kent. The journey varies between 7 and 8.5 miles depending on the route I take. Started commuting by bike in April. The scales made me do it when I weighed in at a hefty 14st 5 lbs. I'm just under 14st now so it is working. Hopefully should be back running after the summer.
May 2012 - hit the scales at 15st 11lbs. Diet started.
October 2012 - down to 12st 7ilbs and running 3 times per week on average.
July 2013 and the dreaded plantar fascitis is back - laying off the running for a while and back to the bike.
