About Me

July 2012 - Scotland C2C completed in September 2011 running as a two man team with JJ1. Total race time 11hr33. Knocking an hour off last years time. Was undecided for much of 2012 what this years big challenge should be until JJ1 suggested the Adidas Thunder Run 24. 24 hours to run as many laps of a 10k cross country circuit.... Have just got back from the excellent event. Ran as a pair with JJ1. Had to take 3 hours out to get some sleep, but managed 20 laps (10 each) in the other 21 hours. Still early days to decide on next years event, but definitely up for another go at this.... This time with a support crew and NO SLEEP!!

December 2010 - Signed up for Nokia C2C 2011 (Scotland), this time as two man team with twin Bro (JJ1).... the training starts here!!

October 2010 - C2C done in 12hr36... toughest challenge to date, not a bad time but sure I can improve on that next year... looking forward to it.

May 2010 - Signed up for the Nokia Coast to Coast (Racer) in Scotland (19th Sept 2010): 109 miles in 13 hours multi event. Run, MTB and Kayak! Just need to get back in to the MTB'ing now.

Feb 2010 - Been road running again for about a year. Was doing quite a lot of running ten years ago, half marathons, 10K's and mid week road runs (5 miles). Did the flora marathon in 2000. Then spent the next ten years just running on running machines at the gym to keep in shape, as a supplement to weight training. Last year decided to put more effort into the road running again and have been building up gradually since. Certainly not in any danger of getting a Pb just yet, still a minute per mile off previous pace, but then I’m ten years older. Enjoying the running again and that’s the main thing. Still doing weights and a bit of boxing, just so I don't lose too much bulk with all the extra running.
