About Me
I started running at the end of Feb 2009 as part of a drastic diet and weight loss plan. In 6 months, I lost over 5 stone (33kgs) shrinking from a size 18 to a size 8 and discovered I'd got completely hooked on running???? Quite bizarre as I'd successfully avoided it all my life! I ran my first Half Marathon on 6th Sept 09. I enjoyed that so much that I joined a running club the next week and entered 2 more HM's which I completed in the next 5 weeks.........both of those with sub 2hr times. Sadly 3 weeks later I injured my IT Band and Hamstring and had a frustrating 6 weeks unable to run. I have been improving weekly since, which is just as well as I have entered my first Full Marathon for the spring 2010.
