Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker. I understand. No-one likes ads.

But our site costs money to operate, and I need to eat.

Please consider enabling ads for our website, or making a voluntary donation. If you donate, I can turn off the ads for you for a period of time. Average donations are about £3.50 per month, so a tenner would give you three months ad free.

Here's a link to our donation info.

Thanks,

I am fundraising for Parkinson's Disease Society

My father in law suffers from Parkinson's Disease so this is just me doing my bit to help where I can

About Me

Having done the Reading Half Marathon in my youth in a time of 1hr 55mins I then left it many years until I took up running again post millennium. 6 Great North Runs later I finally managed in 2009 to break that elusive 2 hr half marathon barrier again ( just! ). I found the motivation to tackle the marathon challenge that I have been wanting to do but putting off for years and so did a very hot Edinburgh in 2010 while knocking 14 minutes off my half PB in Leeds as part of my training!I was so inspired I did Edinburgh again in 2011 and unbelievably managed to go under that 4 hr barrier! Several years and marathons later I have still to achieve that feat again so will have to keep trying!!

Current Status

Training for Yorkshire marathon this year and hopefully staying injury free!
