About Me
New runner started in March 2009 using a ipod training programme (beginner to 5k Podrunner), main objectives are to get fit and loose weight, managed to do 5K before my 30th Birthday and then injured my calve but worked through it, I did my first 10k in Sept full of cold but wouldnt have missed it for the world, I also 'acquired' a place in the Great North Run which was fantastic and despite me not training I really enjoyed it. 2010 started off slow and went down hill from there despite a few attempts to get back into it. 2011 Starting again, we've now got a treadmill so there is no excuse in the cold weather - aparantly there was an excuse - trying again Dec 2011, I have booked in 3 races for 2012 which will hopefully keep me focused. OK so 4th June 2012 - I did the Hull 10k yesterday, first in the series, without doing any training - ooooooppps - walked most of it, I've got a bit of a taste for it again, immediate goal is to beat my time in next months race - Leeds 10k........
