Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

About Me

I wanted to run a marathon one day, so (once all my exams were all out of the way) I did.

I enjoyed it, so I thought I would run another one, but it was much harder working up the enthusiasm, so I didn't.

So I contented myself with a half marathon every so often (could I run one at 40?, at 45?, even at 50?). Well I managed it at 50 and thought that will do.

Well there's a 10 mile run near home, so perhaps just one more race then stop?

So I went to the 10 miler and there I came across a familiar caterpillar, a multi-marathon plodding hippo, a wascally wabbit and the legendary mick'n'phil. I asked them why have you all got Fetch printed on your shirts and they told me about this great website where I read about them all and their fantastic exploits.

So inspired by you all I decided to do some more runs and even got as far as running a second marathon (nearly 20 years after the first) and finally achieved my original sub 4 hour target.

Such is the power of Fetch!
