About Me
Hated running when I was younger would have missed the school bus rather than run for it. Got talked into trying running a few years ago late one autumn. The nights were dark but the walkpaths are well lit, what harm would it do to try and hopefully nobody would recognise me. Out I went disguised in hoodie and black trousers and a big flashlight on my head to dazzle any onlookers.......nope still hated it and coughed for hours even though I only reached the postboxes 400m from my house. I was in baaaad shape. Pride from admitting this forced me out another couple of times. Then of course I was an expert by then! Especially when trying to coax my neighbor out with me. I nearly fainted when she accepted. What if she left me standing? We arranged to meet in a weeks time and I did what cad naturally, I trained like an idiot every night. I was aching from head to toe but the cough disappeared. We went for our run and i sneaked out later to top mine up!!!! That was the moment I was bitten by the running bug........I am back in 2012 a bit rusty but want to make this my biggest, best running year ever with at least one PB!!!!! Hmmm another challenge that will need some pushing to achieve.
