About Me
Took up running in mid 2005 - my wife was training for Race for Life..tagged along - first running since school almost 20 yrs before though no couch potato. She progressed to GSR, then FLM 2006 - so it just went from there. I did GSR, then a 1/2 or 2, then FLM 07, then 08...now its well and truly my 'thing'. Train on trails in Swinley Forest, so races of that type - HellRunner, Grim, Turbo X etc keep me busy in Winter. Fitting in training around work, two small children etc is fun but I manage thanks to the ladies of the house (all of them) being flexible and understanding. Often to be seen with two very large and muddy chocolate labs running alongside - their PB is about 16 miles! 2009 brough the baking hot Edinburgh Marathon and even more baking hot Berlin Marathon- where I again failed to beat 4 hours as I wanted to at FLM 08. ... I just don't do heat!! Did slightly PB at each though.

2010 - I dearly want to do another Marathon and break the 4 hour mark - but I have promised running will not take over my life so much - however baby number 3 is due in June - so may have to settle for Autumn Marathon!

Nice PB at Reading, and at ParkRun - if I tick all the boxes at middle distance then I HAVE to manage sub 4!!!

Bracknell half next, then Turbo X then...who know

Targets : -

21 min 5k
45 min 10k
1:15 10 miles
1:40 half

And of course sub 4 - but reallly I should be able to go under 3:45...if I can stop my head telling me otherwise at 22 miles!!
