Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I am fundraising for Brathay

The challenge of running round Windermere for ten days in a row really appeals, and the charity it's done for is doing great work with children and young people. They provide a range of courses, often getting inner city kids outdoors in the beautiful Lake District, where they learn to trust themselves, their peers and adults and to respect themselves, enabling them to make more positive choices for the future. The projects have changed the lives of young people who were deprived or neglected or getting into gangs or drugs, and set them on a new path full of opportunities for a better life.

About Me

I love running! Long and slow is my favourite, though occasionally I try to speed up! Been running on and off since '99 and recently completed my 131st marathon.

I started doing ultras last year (as a result of being inspired by the folk here on Fetch) - I'm absolutely loving it! 36 ultras ranging from 27 to 145 miles so far (included in the 131 total).

My first proper race win came recently at the South Downs Way Race (103 miles) in 24:24:10, 8th place overall.
