About Me
I used to like cross country at school but was never that good. I started running on and off in my late twenties.

Then a friend who is a good runner trained with me for quite a few months and I built up a bit of speed. Eventually I entered the Bristol Half Marathon in 2006. I loved it and I have been running regularly ever since (at least when not injured), for fitness and just the enjoyment of getting outside.

I train roughly 3 times a week, in an intervals-regular-long-regular-intervals pattern, averaging 12-15 miles per week. I am looking to increase my weekly mileage to get my PBs coming again.

My events are currently 10Ks and half marathons.

My goal is to run sub 40 for 10K and sub 1:30 for HM. I would like to run my first marathon in 2010, it depends on how my training is going.

As of May 2009 I am entering a phase of slower paced runs of increased mileage in the hope of improving my running times further, with a planned HM event in October.

Update May 2010: I got injured a year ago and have only been doing a few miles here and there on the treadmill. But just moved to a beautiful part of Kent with great runs on my doorstep so, if my legs hold up, I'm back in training!
