Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker. I understand. No-one likes ads.

But our site costs money to operate, and I need to eat.

Please consider enabling ads for our website, or making a voluntary donation. If you donate, I can turn off the ads for you for a period of time. Average donations are about £3.50 per month, so a tenner would give you three months ad free.

Here's a link to our donation info.

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

About Me

I have always kept fit through all my life.Firstly as a teen playing lots of football,at which I had trials with Barnsley F.C when 15.At 19 I joined the Army ( Royal Engineers )where keeping fit tends to go with the job description. While in the forces I still played lots of sport, mainly football but also athletics in the summer months.
On leaving the Army in 1998 I joined a gym and still kept myself pretty active but no real structured running as such. That all changed in 2002 when an ex Army pal of mine did the London Marathon.I went down to support him and that gave me the idea of doing a marathon myself.6 months latter I found myself completing the Nottingham marathon.
8 years on I have raced at numerous different distances from marathon to 5k and also have taken part in two John O Groats to Lands End runs.
