What's the biggest challenge that awaits you?
Making sure I am still running when I push towards 80! I thought 70 was going to be a challenge but that turned out quite easy!

What’s the best bit of advice that you would give to new runners, bikers and swimmers?
Make sure that you really do enjoy whatever activity is chosen or it will eventually become a chore and likely to cease! Be guided by your own goals and not any ones else's.

About Me

My first enthusiastic run in 1978, a day before my birthday was that early present that I've made use of right to this day! Now 71 and the enthusiasm hasn't waned even though the speed has been left behind..not entirely because of age but a "withered calf muscle" due to a back injury/neural damage 30 years ago. "They" said I wouldn't run again!! Running has seen me through thick and thin and even now I am always looking forward to the next run. Not "into" racing anymore, don't need it to motivate me and can always race myself or pit myself against my wife who runs ultras.
