I'm 40 and started running regularly in the summer of 2007 when a friend asked me to help him train for Bristol half marathon. I figured that if i was gonna train then i might as well do the race. I ran 1hr 31min 31secs and shocked myself to say the least! I did this on 5 weeks training so i decided to run a bit more frequently and entered the same race a year later and ran 1hr 29mins 23secs! Since then it's all been a bit occasional as i have been away working, injured and well a little bone idle! I have tried to sort out an injury which has had me sidelined for a while but it seems its going to probably require surgery which could threaten my livelihood, so i now do every road run with my ankle taped! You only live once so i have just made a decision to reinvent my self and i am resolved to the fact that i am going to hurt regardless!
Started over and am now running regularly and enjoying it again!
