Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Describe your ideal run, ride or swim.
One where I don't feel as if I'm dragging my feet through treacle and can breathe easily, ideally on trails, in the countryside, with woods and great views, probably on a sunny autumn day :-)

What's the biggest challenge that awaits you?
If I ever manage to get fit enough again, then there's a 30 mile ultra in Sherwood Forest to be done again!

What's your favourite thing about Fetcheveryone?
Sense of camaraderie, the forums, and the blogs. Always a good chance to re-motivate myself :-)

How do you pick yourself up when you need to?
I am usually very harsh and critical to myself. Hot bath or shower, some food and drink, and generally then all is well again.

What’s the best bit of advice that you would give to new runners, bikers and swimmers?
Even if it feels really tough, looking back and knowing you have done it (run, bike, or swim) can make you feel good :-)

About Me

A stop-start plodder, who should really prioritise running a bit more than she tends to do. There are so many things I like to do and 24 hours a day are seldom enough.

I prefer trail runs, even though that means I am even slower than on the road.

I am lucky to live on the edge of the Cotswolds. There are plenty of little roads and woods nearby. The motivation to go there is not always there though..... Quite often I walk on the trails instead of run, and I like long distance walking.

Being Dutch, the little hills seem like mountains to me.... :-)
