About Me
I am 58 and started running in 1999. I ran the millenium Marathon in 2000 in Glasgow and a few other races from 10k's to 1/2 marathons. However from 2001 until 2008 I was suffered injuries each winter and therefore never seemed to be up to thst first year as far as times in races is concerned. In 2009 suffered Plantar Fasciitis which lasted 10 months before being resolved. Started running again towards the end of that year.Suffered a few viruses this year and again suffered disappointment in races.Seem so much slower. It is either lack of proper training or time. I feel the mind is willing but the body does not respond. Still feel I could improve my times in races but need a good solid training period. Don't particularly like any type of speedwork preferring just to run, but, that is probably the problem as well as age.
