Not a great start as stuck in a slow pen which meant lots of people to run past. Had to swerve all over road to find gaps. Got into pace by mile 3 but was having to work hard by then. Legs didnt feel quick from the start due to lack of taper but managed to stay strong. It was windy and always seemed to be running into it, especially the last 2 miles towards the stadium. Legs tightened but was passing runners at this stage. Happy with the time and think I could have gone under 1:22 with better conditions and start.
