St Neots Half Marathon. Perfect conditions. Set off with the 1:30 pacers. Kept with the front pacer and the main group through about 5 miles but then got dropped after the exertions of the hill. Kept in front of the second pacer through 9 miles and the top of the hill, however when he stepped up the pace i couldn't keep with him. Aftet that i kind of gave up and started to walk, until someone asked me what i was doing. I then started to run again, felt better, and started to real in the 2nd pacer. I couldn't quite do it and as i got into the last 1/2 mile i got stitch so walked the last 200 metres as i knew i wouldn't PB.

Oh well - sub 1:30 isn't going to happen this year.

Splits:
6:48, 6:44, 6:45, 6:49 (1st time up the hill), 6:49, 6:54, 6:46, 6:43, 6:56 (2nd time up the hill), 7:09 (walked for a bit), 6:53 (easy pace), 6:54 (easy pace), 6:52 (easy pace)

Sorry to hear it didn't happen for you BRM - you've definitely got the base fitness and enough speed, so it just needs to all come together one day.
