Mizuno Reading Half Marathon
Position: 177th Chip Time: 01:18:28 - New PB! Not quite the time I was hoping for (1:17) but nonetheless I am quite happy that I managed to bag another PB. The course was slightly more hilly than I remember from last time and during the last 3 miles we were running into a headwind which I found difficult and couldn't sustain the pace that I had wanted to run at. I did feel 'comfortable' running at around my intended 5:55 pace but couldn't have run any faster I don't think. I only had one days rest beforehand which might have had something to do with it? For the Finchley 20 next Sunday, I will give myself two rest days to see if that makes any difference? The good news is that my predicted marathon time on the back of this result is 02:43:35 (RW's Race Time Predictor)
