Notes & Comments

The London Marathon was a struggle after a 24-hour bug laid me low on Saturday. I felt drained on the start line, but actually felt ok up to the 8 mile point. I ploughed on through the middle miles but slowed steadily, with my woes culminating in cramp with 800 metres left. It's a testament to how far I have come that I can run a marathon with a stomach bug and finish in well under 4 hours. London is always a fantastic experience, almost overwhelming, but I don't think I'll ever run well here!
