Pretty pleased - a PB by 20s. Bit disappointed not to get under 40 mins, but was really quite windy - esp. first and last km.

Was just behind the pace most of the way, think about 12s at 8 km marker. Was feeling tired but okay, and planning a real push in the last km. Then the wheels fell off at about 8.75k. Kept moving, but lost about 15 yards on the guy I had been tailing. Got going again for the last half k. Would have struggled into that wind anyway.

Was 71st out of 387 (18%). Median was 48:56.

Think either on a calm day, or if had not had that cold I would have done it today. Still a PB, and that's 2 PB's so far this year! Nice to be in the shape of my life!!!!!
