Sidcup 10 race. Three laps of approx 3.3 miles on roads and pavements around an ugly unloved part of south east London. MrD and i are here though because its flat and fast!

Conditions not ideal and its cold and very windy (running for 1.5 miles into the wind each lap).

Settled in quickly at planned race pace and had no trouble keeping it going. No one running near me on the 2nd and 3rd laps so no protection from the wind. Pushed on for last couple of miles but got a bad stitch on my right side with 600 metres to go. Really painful and my pace really decreased. I reckon i lost 20 secs there. Apart from that all went to plan.

Came 34th. Very happy with new PB and i know i have more in the tank.

MrD had a great run - very pleased for him as he has been working very hard for months.
