Maidstone Half Marathon
Very cold start to the day - had to de-ice the car! Race started at 9:30, we left about 8:30. Parked up at the school (HQ) to then walk 15 mins to the start/finish line.
Started off really well but soon needed toilet stops along the way which wasn't ideal. The back of my left knee felt sore at about 12 miles after a long steep downward section from Thurnham, might have pushed a little too hard or jolted it slightly. Pleased to finish and get warm.
Remember at half way, feeling like I hadn't reached half way yet which I'm taking as a positive sign of improvement.
Not pleased about not getting to run all week leading up to taoday...must try harder in future!
