Notes & Comments

The Chester Marathon was everything the Hull 'Marathon' wasn't. The course was the best I've ever run for a marathon, the support was inspiring and the organisation was superb.

Despite a nagging foot injury I got to half way in 1:43:20 and felt okay. The second half went in fits and bursts, although unfortunately I lost probably about half a minute near the end due to cramp in my troublesome left foot.

I set a new PB for 20 miles of 2:40:25 en route, and completed the last 10k in 55:37, a PB by some way and encouraging for the future.
