Maidenhead Half-Marathon
Second half-marathon for the year and what a difference. This is a very flat course, though a multi-lapper so not my favorite, but still a good race.
Went out for about 1:20 but then got a little scared at about 14km so backed off bit. Wish I hadn't as I got really close to 1:20 and even had energy to break into a bit of a sprint for the final 100m.
I think a sub-80 min half is definitely on the cards and then it's only 5 more mins to improve and I'll find myself amongst the elites. Think I'll concentrate more on the 1/2 next year.
