Notes & Comments
I was aiming for sub 45 mins, I wanted to be able to say that finally, since having had 2 children I have achieved sub 9 min/mile for a race. It's not that great an achievement, but it's a target I've been aiming for since having children. The fact that the marshalls neglected to point me in the right direction for the final few metres to the finish line, thbey stood there and let me runstraight past the turning I needed to take FFS. Someone then shouted after me 'are you looking for the finish line?!'. Of course I'm looking for the fecking finish line! So I then had to double back, Id lost momentum and I think that cost me my sub 45. Why did they let me run straight past them? Why were there so many people making a roadblock across the road I needed to go down? Why was I the only idiot that did that? I apologise to the person that I swore at, but I was focussed and I needlessly missed the time I wanted. I probably would have missed the time I was after anyway, but I was in sprint finish mode. So pissed off.
And another thing - the JAFFA that tried to overtake me a couple of times, who cut me up, nearly tripped me over and then slowed her pace down in front of me can also feck off.
