London Marathon 2012. Just over 100 miles a month is not enough for me to run a really fast marathon but is enough to get round in a decent time. The plan was simple, i just wanted to knock out as many sub six minute miles as possible. This was something my small brain could compute quite well and give me a good time to boot
Managed 14 out of the first 15 under 6 minute mile pace before things started to slide. The last 10 miles were hell, not sure how I kept going but I did. The bag of jelly babies and 3 gels got me home in 2-39-42 and 164th spot. New club record too
My legs now though are absolutely battered, it's going to take weeks to recover from this.
Garmin messed up on the uderground bits hence the error in distance.
5 miles 29-05
10 miles 58-21
15 miles 1-28-07
20 miles 1-58-53
25 miles ??

Great run Rob, especially as you had a difficult few weeks leading up to the race. What will you do when you are 100%!! Hope the legs recover soon:-)
Brilliant run Rob, and I agree with John...be curious to see just how fast you can go with a less interrupted build up!
Awesome Rob well done
