What a brilliant day at VLM so happy at how it went. Got in the red start with the Werrinton Joggers crew in plenty of time to chill out , walked to the start thinking this time i will get it right and my aim was to take it easier than planned because of the heat and congestion. OFF WE GO for the first 4 miles felt comfortable then hit the masses at the hazardous drink stations. It became apparent that if I was to break the 3.30 barrier I'd set myself, I ought to ease up and not fight through the runners. So I just sat back and went with the flow until I could find space to stretch out. It paid off with a pb of 3.28.03 - happy happy man! Well done to everyone that did VLM and special thanks to Mrs C and OldMan for all their help and support in getting me there!.
