Notes & Comments

Meon Valley Plod. Really well organised. Excellent marshalls. The cup of tea at the top of Butser Hill maybe the best cup of tea ever.

Started off and everything seemed to be going well. The going was easier than expected and we were through the first half well inside the target time. Second half was much tougher - rutted tracks and the lack of long training starting to kick in. Phil was in annoyingly good shape considering the furthest training run he'd done was 7 miles. Bastard. Fortunately Dave was able to make me feel better with some comedy shouting at his own legs. We stopped a couple of times for him and probably could have trimmed 10 or 15 mins off the time. But we held it together and crossed the line together.
Great run which would have been even better if I'd been a bit fitter. At least it shows training is worth while.
