Notes & Comments

Harlow 10 mile race! Wasnt sure if I was going to be able to do this today having taken a nasty fall over a tree root on Friday lunchtime!! But decided Id give it a go despite my 2 grazed knees and rather sore left arm!!;o)

Oh and I dont have a Garmin at the moment either as that stopped working ever since my fall so had to use an old cheapy stop watch!

Paced it ok and did a rather sensible 6.40 mile first mile and was having quite a battle with Nikki Brockbank for the first 4 or 5 miles. We were in 1st and 2nd place. Then someone from a Herts club came past at about 6 miles and I knew I couldnt keep with her so I just keep going as fast as I could and was delighted to finish 2nd lady!

Time was ok too considering it was a hot day for racing, despite the early start!

A v well organised, well marshalled race!
