Silverstone Half
I knew I could do 8 min miles over a shorter distance and I saw a pace setter at the start with a 8min board so thought I would try to keep him in my sites and if I couldn’t hold on towards the end then so be it. At 10 miles I started to feel it and at 11 miles everything hurt, but I just kept telling myself its only 15mins, it’s only 14mins 30, it’s only … time was definitely going slowly at this point and I was looking at my watch more and more frequently. But I managed to hold on and finished in 1:44:36 which I was really chuffed with, so I treated myself to a big mcdonalds on the way home!
