Hatfield Broad Oak 10k. Wasn't expecting to be up to my normal standard after 2 weeks of flu and various niggles, but felt like I needed a race after putting so many off recently. Still, not a disaster all things considered, and could have been quite respectable if I had tried a bit harder in miles 4 and 5.
Still got a couple of niggles, but nothing feels worse at least and having a bad run can be more of an incentive sometimes than a good one. Not a good start to the week, but it will get better!

Well done for getting out there and racing. That's still a very good time - if only I could run that fast! Take care and see you soon.
Normal service will resume next race John, I have no fear, probably on Thursday!
That's a fantastic run off not feeling 100% mate and you're right, it's the bad runs that make you get out there !!
Well run John under the circumstances. Like you said yesterday (and I am taking heed of) you need to get the bad ones out the way, we all have them so we are both one down now!
