Virgin London Marathon.

Yay, got a PB by 7 minutes so really pleased. Started on the 'good for age' line which was much, much better than last year and meant that I quickly got into my pace without all of the stopping and starting.

I ran far too quickly for the first 20 miles which meant that when I hit 23 I seriously hit a wall (hence 11min mile), at one point I thought I was going to have to walk the rest.
Somehow managed to start shuffling along again, I could see that I was running out of time to make it under 3:30, I think that's what kept me going.

It was so hot and I really didn't enjoy it - I've never drank so much in a run before. Support was amazing though and the crowd deserve a medal for being so fantastic. It was an awesome experience but I will give it a miss next year I think :)

PB, I'm loving all these PB write ups. Awesome stuff, just incredible on another hot day and even better to turn it around at the end when struggling. Sub 3.30 sounds cool!!!
