Notes & Comments
The Snake Lane 10 was held on a perfect day for running. While I missed my time from the Ferriby 10 by just 39 seconds, my legs felt heavy during the race and I felt I was labouring at times.
I went through the first mile in 7:16 and despite a bad patch between 3 and 4 miles, I got to half way in 37:21 and had a good chance of a PB. Another bad mile between 7 and 8 coupled with two tough hills in the final couple of miles put paid to my chances of a PB though.
Despite some confusion about which way we were meant to be running at the start, this was a pleasant, quiet course and a well organised race that I would definitely do again.
