PB by 1 sec (garmin time) Bushy Frostbite, Garmin not uploading properly so manually done it.
Aim was to start around 7m/m and if felt ok keep it going and if hard work drop pace back a bit and treat as a fast training run. Perfect conditions and a massive turn out, sure there was 500+ running. One minute clap before start for Bushy and WJ runners who died at GER was a nice touch.

Started with heyjude, emporsz and havelhoff. ready, get set, no gun, on second attempt the whistle went (assume the gun was broke and couldn't be fixed).
Start was very crowded but managed to pick a few runners off and stay roughly on the racing line, towards the end of the mile settled into a comfortable pace and enjoyed running along, this course much better with most of the industrial estate taken out (compared to 10k course). carried on and overtook more people as I went along, havelhoff had powered on ahead and I didn't try and stay with him (mainly because I couldn't). I got tired towards the end of the 4th mile and the 5th was very hard work, pushed on as a few crowds were about, heard gem* shouting 'push it' 'push it' from the bridge but couldn't see who else was there as the sun was in my eyes, then heard someone shout come on jude so assumed she was behind me, quick glance but couldn't see her so ran the last bit in managing a slight sprint. Final Garmin time was 34.54 with splits of 6.55, 7.00, 7.02, 6.57 & 7.02. Place number 199.

Great to see so many WJ taking part (both running and supporting) and hopefully will have done well with the team prize.

BM and babyswerver came along and met most people, had some lovley cake from heyjude (rken can't say the same lol) with a coffee then headed home as babyswerver was getting hungry.
Enjoyed the day and perhaps lack of training with a 0345 start is the way forward for future races ?

PB PB PB PB. so no sleep and no training is obviously the way forwards ;) PS did you say you had a spare garmin as mine may need to go to Garmin Hospital. BM and BS looked lovely :)
Hey Jude
Great run - the sleepless nights are obviously the key! So good to see Em and babyswerver too

Well done as the others have said sleep deprivation is obviously the way to go! Lovely to see Isla and Em, I am sure we will see them on a regular basis now :-)

There, you see-being young and fit and it doesn't matter how much sleep you have or how often you get a run, you still do brilliantly!
