Heckington 10 miles!! Well that's never likely to happen again is it?? Took the most spectacular tumble at just over 4 miles; and had a good old cry; Sleaford Striders ladies came to my rescue; but I was in total agony!! Had a hug and pain killer from Hazel; and off I went again... Literally walked hobbled and jogged the rest of the route as was determined to get round; all of a sudden a good time wasn't either possible or important!!! So had chats with the all the marshalls (who thought I was completely mad), water people who ensured I got all the grit off my face and wounds (several times); then special thanks to OM for looking out for me and bringing me in (and how could I forget Peter?!?)! Right side of head has come up like a duck egg; shoulder feels completely frozen; and leg; well am sitting with my feet up as is throbbing still!! - but could have been so much worse! Really enjoyed passing all the other Werrington Joggers Storming home doing so well!!! Well done to everyone; and thanks for keeping me going...
(I have autopause on my Garmin; I think I made it just within the 2 hours - a very spectacular last!!!) Will I do it again next year? Ask me in a couple of months time!?
