Went down to Marlow previous evening and had the house to ourselves as Ali and Steve were with friends. Race day was quite cool but I made sure I got a decent starting place as it is very crowded at the start. Set off at a good pace and did mile 1 in 7:25 and mile 2 in 15:05. At mile 3, I was about a minute and a half up on 8 minute miles and I was able to keep that pace up to the finish.
