Not sure how I feel about this race. I wanted 1.50. Not sure if it is my Garmin or I just clocked up extra distance from dodging people and kerbs. I felt comfortable. Music helped. Inside of right ankle still very sore, esp on downhills. Don't feel half as bad as I did after Marakech. Definitely wasn't pushing as hard and definitely not so nervous. Don't know why I thought race started at 9.30, was actually 10! Blood sugar control good (10.1 at finish) but did not drink enough water during race and had to stop at mile 11 water station to consume 150 ml. That was the only time I stopped though so actually quite pleased with that! But, even though I felt comfortable for most of the run when it came to mile 12 and I planned to push hard, I couldn't. I don't know if it was physical or mental - I knew 1.50 was out of reach and the potential pain did not seem worth it. Fingers crossed I find my racing head by Maidenhead 10. I want to see what I can do there (1.21.53 by garmin here).
